EIGHTIES

In the eighties the club moved from the Scout Hall at Oxley Av to the present venue. Music was by tapes and beer was served from a bar. Ladies brought a 'plate' for supper. Occasional dances were also held on a Saturday night.

Activities included bus trips, picnics, ten pin bowling, fishing trips and car rallies.

At the AGM a new venue for the dances was discussed because the Scout Hall was to be no longer available after 20 January 1984. It would appear that this is when the club moved to the CWA Hall.
