EIGHTIES In the eighties the club moved from the Scout Hall at Oxley Av to the present venue. Music was by tapes and beer was served from a bar. Ladies brought a 'plate' for supper. Occasional dances were also held on a Saturday night. Activities included bus trips, picnics, ten pin bowling, fishing trips and car rallies. 1980 OFFICE BEARERS President Dawson Carcary Vice President Clyde Jenkins Treasurer Pat Krause Secretary Elsie Harrison Club advertised in the "Herald" for new members Half year General Meeting held 17 July Activities included Easter Bonnet Parade, Homestead Dinner Dance, Mothers Day and Fathers Day and Christmas Party.

Ernie Faulkner who had resigned the year before was appointed Social Organizer. $20 to be paid to the "Debonairs" to make new dance tapes Under General Business at the AGM "No one to be allowed into the hall under the influence of drink. Teenagers only allowed on very special occasions (as visitors)."

It would appear that this is when the club moved to the CWA Hall.
